Moldova and Nigeria are the hosts sights for our conferences for widows in 2014. A conference generally includes a very special luncheon for the widows where they also receive a large bag of staple goods and meats, gifts from supporters in the United States, and a message from Dr. Linda Hostetter, known throughout the world of widows as “Mama Linda”.
This year’s Moldova ministry will take place at the end of July and find Mama Linda working with about 300 widows, both Russian and Romanian. Her primary purpose beyond bringing the joy of the Lord, is to assist the women in establishing a leadership team of widows to sustain the work for widows in Moldova. Later in the fall, Mama Linda will be returning to Nigeria to be the keynote speaker at the annual Widow’s Christmas Celebration in Onitsha, Anambra State, Nigeria. Attendance has fluctuated over the years based mostly on the weather and economy of the nation. As many as 5000 widows have attended. In 2013 there were over 3000 who received gifts, lunch, staple goods, fabric for making clothing, and a wonderful personal message from Dr. Hostetter.
